Team Lab World: Dance Art Museum, Learn Play! Future Park

By Local Unnie

Looking for an instagrammable spot then go to teamLab World.

teamLab is a collective, interdisciplinary creative group that brings together professionals from various fields of practice in the digital society: artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, architects, web and print graphic designers and editors. Referring to themselves as “Ultra-technologists,” their aim is to achieve a balance between art, science, technology and creativity. Since 2014 teamLab is represented by Pace Gallery.

Today, I together with Ma’am Dani (Who’s Ma’am Dani? She’s a professor from University of the Philippines and an accounting goddess) went to teamLab★World. We met in a late afternoon becuase Ma’am Dani had a Korean class. (She’s currently taking her Ph.D.)

How to get there?:

  1. From exit no. 4 of Jamsil station, follow the Lotte World Adventure underground passage on B1 floor until you see the Lotte World Adventure entrance.
  2. Turn right and go straight. You will see the entrance of teamLab★World.

Admission fee varies depending on the category. You can buy your ticket through both online (social commerce site) and ticket booth.

I purchased my ticket through Timon (Ticket Monster) at KRW 16,000 to avail a discount.

What to do?

There are 14 things to experience at teamLab World.  Take a lot of instragrammable photos at different photo zones. Here are some of the pictures from my visit. 🙂

Got crayons for free!

At the sketch aquarium, whatever you draw on the paper will appear on the screen.

My tuna appeared on the screen. 🙂 When you touch the fish, you will see the fish runing away from you.

If you touch the bag, you can feed the fishes.

If you stand up for more than 7 seconds, flowers will bloom and butterflies will come.

The best photo zone of team lab world is the crystal universe so don’t miss it!

Have fun traveling Korea. 🙂
